Richmond men’s golf coach Adam Decker was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year, according to a May 12 announcement from the conference. The recognition comes two weeks after Decker and the Spiders secured their first Atlantic 10 title.

The award marks Decker’s record fifth time receiving this honor, making him the first in conference history to achieve this milestone. He previously won in 2010, 2016, 2017, and 2025. This season, Richmond set a program record by winning four tournaments: sharing victory at the Metropolis Intercollegiate to open the season and claiming wins at both the Loyola Intercollegiate in February and Donald Ross Collegiate Classic in March before capturing the A-10 title late last month.

Three Richmond players were also recognized on the All-Atlantic 10 team: sophomore Carson Baez, junior Quin Polin, and freshman Lucas Rizo-Patron. Baez earned his second straight All-Atlantic 10 honor after leading Richmond with six top-10 finishes and achieving a scoring average of 70.88—second-lowest in program history. He also won individual medalist honors at Loyola Intercollegiate with a score of seventeen-under par, setting a new program record by four strokes.

Polin enters NCAA Regionals ranked second on his team for top-10 finishes (five), rounds under par (thirteen), and holds a scoring average of 72.09—the sixth-lowest single-season mark in school history. His best finish was runner-up at Monterrey Collegiate Classic last October.

Rizo-Patron claimed his first collegiate win by taking individual honors at this year’s Atlantic 10 Championship with a thirteen-under-par performance that matched Richmond’s second-best tournament score ever; he was subsequently named Most Outstanding Rookie by the conference.

Richmond’s three All-Conference selections are its most since having three honorees in 2010—a total that tied VCU for most among teams this year. The Spiders will next compete at NCAA Regionals from May 18–20 at Bermuda Run Country Club near Winston-Salem.
