Maya Beasley was named the Atlantic 10 Women’s Golfer of the Year and Calle Barlow was selected as the Atlantic 10 Women’s Golf Coach of the Year, according to a May 8 announcement from the conference.

These awards recognize both individual and team achievements for Richmond Spiders Women’s Golf. The recognition comes after Richmond secured a decisive 28-stroke victory at last month’s Atlantic 10 Championship held at Evermore Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Barlow shared the Coach of the Year award with Brandy Johnson of Loyola Chicago. This is her second time earning conference Coach of the Year honors; her first came in 2023 when she led Richmond to a Patriot League title. “She joins Ali Wright as the only Spiders to win multiple conference Coach of the Year Awards,” according to the press release.

Beasley became just the second Spider to win multiple events in a single season during 2025-26. She also became “the first Spider to win A-10 Women’s Golfer of the Year since the conference began sponsoring women’s golf in 2024-25.” Beasley leads her team with a stroke average of 74.43 this season, which is third-lowest in program history, and has recorded four top-10 finishes and six top-20 finishes.

Four Richmond golfers—Beasley, Addie Doroh, Hannah Lydic, and Katie Magner—were named All-Conference selections on Friday. Doroh is noted as “the first Spider freshman to earn All-Conference honors since Olivia Wilkie in 2023.” Lydic earned All-Conference honors for a third consecutive season dating back to Richmond’s time in another league, while Magner achieved her first such honor this year after strong performances at both ends of regular-season play.

Richmond’s four All-Atlantic 10 selections match its highest total ever for any season. With these results, “The Spiders earned the Atlantic 10’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championships and will compete in the Chapel Hill Regional at Finley Golf Club on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday,” according to program officials.
