The Richmond Executive-Chesterfield County Airport will hold its third annual Open House and Movie Night on Saturday, October 11, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The evening will feature a screening of “Top Gun” (PG) at sunset, with the airport’s runway and taxiway serving as the backdrop. Before the movie begins, attendees can view displays from various organizations including Forgotten Heroes Foundations’ L39, Chesterfield Fire and EMS, Police and Sheriff departments, Virginia State Police MedFlight 1, and local aviation groups.

Food trucks will be available for attendees to purchase food. The Chesterfield Police Activities League (CPAL) will sell popcorn and water for $1 each, with all proceeds supporting CPAL.

Organizers encourage guests to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. Pets, outside food or drinks, and glassware are not permitted at the event.

If weather conditions require cancellation, notice will be given by 2 p.m. on Saturday through the airport’s social media channels on Facebook at flyrichmondexec and Instagram at flyrichmondexec.

“This unique event provides something for everyone,” organizers stated. For further information, contact Chesterfield County Airport Administration at 804-768-7700.
