On May 8, law enforcement officers from the Richmond region gathered with Chesterfield County’s Police Department and Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Virginia State Police, for the annual memorial wreath laying ceremony. This event honors officers who have fallen in the line of duty.

The ceremony took place in the courtyard next to the historic 1917 Courthouse. Attendees included county leaders and community members. Monuments honoring Chesterfield’s fallen officers are located there.
