Six educators were recently inducted into the Chesterfield County Public Schools Hall of Fame. The event took place on May 1 and honored Katherine Baugher, Bessie Cooper, Kathy Kitchen, Catherine “Kitty” Neale, Brad Peebles, and Linda Wood, bringing the total number of members to 30 since its inception in 2022.
The Hall of Fame is a collaboration between Chesterfield County Public Schools and the Chesterfield Education Foundation, aiming to recognize retirees and volunteers who have made a substantial impact on the school system. The induction event received support from several sponsors, including TowneBank as the title sponsor, George and Darlene Emerson as platinum sponsors, and gold sponsors Bon Secours Richmond, Sonny and Alan Currin, Diaz Team/KW Metro Center, and Estes Trucking.
Nominations for 2026 Hall of Fame inductees are open, with former employees and volunteers eligible for nomination. Submissions are accepted through a form available online until August 31. Further details regarding eligibility can also be found with the form.
The school system’s website hosts a digital Hall of Fame featuring photos, biographies, and videos of all inductees. Additionally, honoree photos are displayed at the Thomas R. Fulghum Conference Center.
