Chesterfield County Public Schools announced on April 21 the selection of its 2026 Students of the Year, recognizing a total of 133 students from every school in the district for their exemplary contributions and character.
The annual recognition highlights students who embody integrity through respect, responsibility, honesty, and accountability. These individuals are honored not only for academic excellence but also for leadership and positive impact within their school communities.
The honorees were celebrated at an event held on April 16, where they gathered with family members, School Board representatives, and school leaders. The celebration was sponsored by Feinstein 360 Orthodontics. Descriptions such as “embodies the very best of our school community,” “demonstrates outstanding character,” and “a true light in the classroom” were used to characterize these students.
Students recognized include those from virtual schools like CCPSOnline and Chesterfield Virtual School; elementary schools such as Bellwood Elementary, Bensley Elementary, Beulah Elementary; middle schools including Bailey Bridge Middle and Carver Middle; as well as high schools like Bird High and Clover Hill High. The full list features two honorees per school across various grade levels.
Each year’s Student of the Year program aims to make all students feel welcomed and valued while spotlighting those who spread positivity throughout their classrooms. This tradition underscores Chesterfield County Public Schools’ commitment to fostering strong character alongside academic achievement.
