The National Association of Counties (NACo) has awarded Chesterfield County with 40 Achievement Awards. These awards, established in 1970, recognize notable county government programs and services across 18 categories.
Last year, Chesterfield received 32 NACo awards.
“Winning 40 NACo awards highlights our employees’ dedication to public service and commitment to going above and beyond to improve our community,” said Chesterfield County Administrator Dr. Joe Casey. “I’m incredibly proud of our work to ensure Chesterfield remains a First Choice Community for all who live, learn, work, play, and do business here.”
“The Board of Supervisors congratulates departments honored with NACo Achievement Awards,” said Board of Supervisors Chair Jim Ingle (Bermuda District). “I am especially delighted with NACo’s recognition of Community Conversations, a concept for engaging residents that grew out of my desire to meet residents in a casual environment in which we could have honest, in-depth conversations. It and all other programs recognized reflect Chesterfield’s commitment to raising the bar on how we deliver local government services and programs.”
