Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia’s 4th district, has been actively sharing updates and acknowledgments through her social media. Her recent posts highlight the contributions of individuals within her district and broader community initiatives.
On May 6, 2025, Congresswoman McClellan expressed gratitude for Bob Pryor’s service in her district office. “For over a year, Bob Pryor has worked in my district office through the @DeptVetAffairs work-study program. A @USNavy veteran, @VCU grad student and father of two, Bob was an indispensable and joyful member of the team as he helped us connect with VA-04 veterans.” This message underscores Pryor’s role as a valuable team member who assisted in connecting with veterans in Virginia’s 4th district.
Following this acknowledgment, McClellan invited followers to learn more about Pryor’s diverse roles. “Read more about Bob’s many roles as a veteran, nontraditional college student, and leader with a passion for service:” She provided a link for further reading on his journey as a veteran and leader.
Later that day, Congresswoman McClellan recognized National Teacher Appreciation Day and the commencement of Teacher Appreciation Week. “Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day and the beginning of Teacher Appreciation Week — a time to celebrate educators and the difference they make in our children’s lives!” As someone with personal ties to education—being the daughter of educators—she reaffirmed her commitment to supporting teachers.
Jennifer McClellan has served in U.S. Congress since 2023 after replacing Donald McEachin. Prior to her congressional role, she served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and then in the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg, Virginia, she resides in Richmond today.
