In another tweet posted on the same day, McClellan criticized proposed budget cuts affecting food assistance programs. She stated that “The Big Ugly Budget Bill will strip food assistance from 42 million people, one third of them children — and states won’t be able to make up the difference.” She also mentioned joining Representative Johnny Olszewski in opposition to these cuts.
