Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on her engagement with constituents and legislative colleagues through a series of social media posts.

On August 27, 2025, McClellan emphasized the importance of direct dialogue with community members by stating, “Community conversations help me better represent my constituents by allowing me to hear different perspectives. Today, I hosted a senior-focused town hall with the @CityRichmondVA Office on Aging and Disability at the South Richmond Adult Day Care Center to hear constituent”. In a subsequent post made seconds later, she invited followers to access more details: “You can watch the full livestream here: https://t.co/DRbmwFEaGO”.

Later that day, McClellan promoted an interview for her ongoing series. She wrote on August 27, 2025: “For our August recess episode of Moments with McClellan, I sat down with @RepDonBeyer! Jennifer McClellan began serving in Congress in 2023 after succeeding Donald McEachin as representative for Virginia’s 4th District. Prior to her tenure in Congress, she served from 2006 to 2017 in the Virginia House of Delegates and also held office in the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1972 and now residing in Richmond, McClellan holds a BA from the University of Richmond (1994) and a JD from the University of Virginia (1997).
