VCU Men’s Tennis sophomore Erwann Bouchet was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week on Apr. 14 following his performance against No. 60 Liberty.

Bouchet’s recognition comes after a strong showing where he teamed up with Gevorg Mnatsakanyan for a doubles win and later secured VCU’s only point in singles play, defeating Siwanat Auytayakul in three sets. After losing the first set, Bouchet came back to win the next two sets decisively.

This season, Bouchet has competed primarily on Court 1 and has achieved a record of nine wins and seven losses in both singles and doubles matches. Last year, he earned Atlantic 10 Second Team honors and was recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete.

VCU is scheduled to host Duquesne on Thursday for its second-to-last match of the season, with first serve set for 3 p.m.
