Henrico County Government has recently shared updates on a new contract and project timelines via social media. The tweets provide information about a restoration project in the county, as well as details regarding a recent Board of Supervisors meeting.

On June 11, 2025, Henrico County Government announced that “Following the Board’s vote, the county has awarded a $176K contract for restoration of an outfall of a Tuckahoe Creek tributary on Deitrick Road. The project includes installation of in-stream structures, grading of the floodplain bench, seeding & planting along the tributary.” This development indicates an investment in environmental infrastructure within the region.

In another update from June 11, 2025, it was stated that “Work is expected to begin in July and be completed in about 10 months.” This timeline provides residents with an estimated completion date for the project’s enhancements.

Additionally, Henrico County Government noted that “The June 10 meeting of the Board of Supervisors has concluded. Archived video of the meeting will be available at https://t.co/fJzlnqicRX”. This allows interested parties to access discussions and decisions made during this session.

The educational landscape in Henrico County is notable with its public schools district enrolling over 50,000 students during the previous school year. Black students represent the largest ethnic group within these schools. Deep Run High School had notably high enrollment figures among local institutions.
