On June 18, the Henrico County Board of Supervisors announced a special meeting at 4 p.m. followed by a regular meeting at 6 p.m. scheduled for Tuesday, June 24. Both meetings will take place at the Henrico County Government Center located at 4301 E. Parham Road. Agendas for these meetings are available online.

A tweet dated June 19 highlighted the achievements of Jon Lugbill, who is retiring as the founding executive director of Sports Backers. In recognition of his contributions to promoting an active lifestyle in the region, Park Street in Lakeside will be designated as Honorary Jon Lugbill Drive.

On June 20, Henrico County invited families to participate in “Saturday in the Garden,” an event hosted by the Henrico Master Gardeners. This free family-friendly event is scheduled for Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Pollinator Garden in Short Pump Park located at 3329 Pump Road.

Henrico County Public Schools District enrolled over fifty thousand students during the previous school year, with significant representation across various ethnic groups and grades. Deep Run High School had notably high enrollment numbers among secondary schools.
