Henrico County Government recently shared significant achievements through its official social media account. The announcements highlighted both the recognition of a local park and the acknowledgment of a county executive’s leadership.

On June 5, 2025, Henrico County Government announced that Taylor Farm Park has been awarded the 2025 Innovation in Park Design Award by the National Recreation and Park Association. The park, known for its nature-themed play areas, spans 99 acres and is now receiving national acclaim. The announcement can be found here.

Later on the same day, another post revealed that Henrico County Manager John A. Vithoulkas was among three government executives honored at the inaugural C-Suite Awards by Virginia Business. This accolade recognizes exceptional leadership within governmental roles. Details of this announcement are available here.

Additionally, Richard Foster, associate publisher of Virginia Business, praised the awardees stating: “Our 2025 C-Suite Awards winners are outstanding leaders who… lead their companies to success, making a positive impact on the lives of others. They are examples to all, & their leadership is growing the next generation.”

The announcements coincide with broader educational developments in Henrico County Public Schools District. During the 2023-24 school year, this district enrolled over 50,000 students across various schools including Deep Run High School which had the highest enrollment among high schools.
