Henrico County Government announced on its official Twitter account the approval of a new performance contract for community services and highlighted the conclusion of a regular board meeting, as well as expressing gratitude to participants in a recent camp event.

On August 13, 2025, Henrico County Government stated, “The Board approved the FY26 & FY27 Community Services Board performance contract between the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services & the Henrico Area Mental Health & Developmental Services Board.” Later that day, they confirmed the end of their meeting with “The Board has adjourned its regular meeting.”

Additionally, on August 13, 2025, Henrico County Government extended thanks to those involved in a recent camp hosted by local fire services: “Thank you to all the campers and to Lt. Ronny Martin and everyone else from @HenricoFire who made this year’s camp such a success. You make great public service look easy peasy!!”

Henrico County operates one public school district which enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 school year, reflecting a slight increase from the previous year. Deep Run High School reported the highest enrollment among county schools with more than 2,000 students. Black students comprised the largest ethnic group within Henrico County schools during that period, representing about 36% of total enrollment. Holladay Elementary led pre-kindergarten enrollment among county schools. These educational statistics underscore Henrico’s demographic diversity and ongoing growth (Virginia Department of Education).
