Henrico County Government reported that nearly 50 events were organized by civic groups and businesses throughout the county to support public safety and foster neighborhood relationships during National Night Out on Tuesday.

In a post dated August 6, 2025, Henrico County Government stated, “Civic groups and businesses organized nearly 50 events across the county to promote public safety and neighborhood bonding for National Night Out on Tuesday!” The following tweet from the same day expressed appreciation: “Thank you to everyone who organized events and invited county leaders and first responders to join the fun.”

Describing the atmosphere of the event, Henrico County Government noted in another post on August 6, 2025: “From backyard barbeques to carnivals & concerts, NNO always offers a wonderful opportunity for residents and county officials & employees to reconnect and celebrate with each other. Events such as these truly highlight the importance of partnership in building a stronger Henrico!”

Henrico County is served by a single school district, Henrico County Public Schools District, which enrolled over 50,000 students during the 2023-24 academic year (source). Deep Run High School had the largest enrollment among its schools that year (source). Black students made up the largest ethnic group within the district, accounting for more than one-third of total enrollment (source). The district’s overall student population saw a slight increase from the previous year (source). Among pre-kindergarten programs, Holladay Elementary School had the highest enrollment in this category (source).

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign aimed at enhancing relationships between neighbors and law enforcement while promoting safe communities.
