In a post made at 21:51 UTC, Henrico County Government stated, “When students accept an internship, they expect to learn from professionals in their fields. Henrico employees say every year that they also learn a tremendous amount from their interns.”
Later that evening, the county shared details about a celebration for National Intern Day: “The county interns took part in an important work ritual today — an office party! To commemorate National Intern Day, interns enjoyed yard games and popcorn while their mentors bragged about the research, project planning and writing their interns have contributed.”
Recreation and Parks Events Management Specialist Jacquelyn Wetter was quoted reflecting on her experience working with interns: “It’s really cool to have that outside perspective on a lot of things,” Recreation and Parks Events Management Specialist Jacquelyn Wetter said. “They’ve definitely helped me become better organized, and they keep me on track.
