Henrico County Government recently shared several updates on local events and developments via social media. The tweets cover a range of topics, including community events celebrating pollinators, redevelopment plans for local housing, and reflections from county officials.

On June 20, 2025, Henrico County Government announced an event designed to highlight the significance of pollinators. The event will feature games and crafts alongside fruit shish kebabs. In their post, they mentioned that “This week is National Pollinators Week! Let us know your favorite pollinators you’ve seen around your garden lately.” Read more.

Later that day, the county provided an update regarding the Glenwood Farms apartments’ demolition. They stated that the process is expected to conclude by month’s end. Redevelopment efforts are scheduled to commence as early as fall, aiming to transform the area into a mixed-income community featuring townhomes, multifamily dwellings, age-restricted units, and commercial spaces. Henrico County Public Schools District reported an enrollment of 50,464 students during the 2023-24 school year. Among these students were Black students representing the largest ethnic group with 35.7% of enrollment followed by white students at 31.9%.
