Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia’s 4th district, shared updates through her Twitter account on June 3, 2025. In a series of tweets, she expressed gratitude to constituents and discussed pressing issues affecting Virginia.
On June 3, 2025, McClellan thanked those who participated in her recent town hall meeting held in the Tri-Cities area. She stated, “Thank you to everyone who came out for my Tri-Cities town hall or watched virtually last night! Hearing your concerns and questions helps me better represent you in Washington.” The event was aimed at addressing constituent concerns and facilitating communication between residents and their congressional representative.
For those unable to attend the town hall meeting live, McClellan provided an opportunity to view it later. On the same day, she tweeted a link to the recorded session with the message: “If you missed it, you can watch here: https://t.co/Rm1KdR4Oju”. This effort ensures accessibility for all constituents interested in staying informed about her work.
Later that day, Congresswoman McClellan addressed the impacts of previous federal policy changes on Virginia families. She highlighted how “Virginia continues to feel the impacts of reckless cuts under the Trump Administration,” mentioning that “just last month, hundreds of Richmond families lost rental assistance and vouchers to help them leave public housing and rent an affordable home of their choice.” Her engagement with @HOMEofVA reflects her commitment to addressing these challenges within her district.
Jennifer McClellan has been serving as a U.S. Congress member since 2023 after succeeding Donald McEachin. Prior to this role, she served in both the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006-2017 and on the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg in 1972 and currently residing in Richmond, McClellan holds degrees from both the University of Richmond (BA) and University of Virginia (JD).
