Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on her social media accounts between March 6 and March 9, 2026. Her posts addressed congressional actions related to Iran, online safety for children, International Women’s Day, and recent television appearances.
On March 6, McClellan criticized Congressional Republicans’ approach to several issues: “During this short but busy week, Congressional Republicans refused to check the Trump Administration’s overreach in Iran, put guardrails on an out-of-control DHS or meaningfully address online safety for our kids. Keep watching for more highlights.”
Two days later, on March 8—International Women’s Day—she highlighted women’s achievements and ongoing challenges: “Happy #InternationalWomensDay! All women deserve to live with dignity and the opportunity to achieve their dreams. Today we celebrate the women who’ve fought to remove barriers to those dreams. #WomensHistoryMonth”
On March 9, McClellan announced her appearance on a national television program: “ICYMI: I joined @TheRevAl on @PoliticsNation to discuss the Iran War Powers Resolution, Kristi Noem’s firing and more.”
Jennifer McClellan has served as Virginia’s 4th District representative since replacing Donald McEachin in 2023. She previously held positions in both the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg in 1972 and currently residing in Richmond at age 50, she graduated from the University of Richmond with a BA in 1994 before earning her JD from the University of Virginia three years later.
