Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates with her constituents last week through a series of social media posts.
On August 15, McClellan discussed her recent engagements in the district and addressed concerns regarding federal policies, writing, “It was another busy week in the district talking to constituents about the impact of the Big Ugly Law and the Trump Administration’s actions on our communities. Here are some highlights.”
A few days later, as students prepared for a new academic year, McClellan posted on August 18: “Best wishes to students across Virginia’s Fourth as you head back to school this week!” On the same day, she extended specific greetings to college students: “Happy FDOC to the students of @VSU_1882, @VAUnion1865 and @RBCStatesmen!”
Jennifer McClellan has served as the U.S. Representative for Virginia’s 4th District since 2023 after succeeding Donald McEachin. Before joining Congress, she served in both chambers of Virginia’s General Assembly—the House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and then in the Senate. Born in Petersburg in 1972 and currently residing in Richmond, McClellan holds degrees from the University of Richmond (BA) and University of Virginia (JD).
