Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed a range of national and community topics on her official Twitter account on April 1, 2026.
In one post, McClellan commented on recent actions by former President Donald Trump regarding election law. She stated on April 1, “President Trump once again seeks to reshape election law by executive fiat in order to suppress votes. Federal courts have rejected these unconstitutional efforts. This latest threat to democracy must fall as well.”
Later that day, she congratulated NASA’s Artemis program for its successful mission launch. On April 1, she posted: “Congratulations, @NASAArtemis on a successful launch!”
In another message posted the same evening, McClellan extended holiday greetings for Passover. She wrote: “Chag Pesach Sameach! Wishing all who celebrate a warm and reflective Passover spent with family and loved ones.”
Jennifer McClellan has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Donald McEachin as representative for Virginia’s 4th district. She previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and later in the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg in 1972, McClellan currently resides in Richmond and holds degrees from the University of Richmond and the University of Virginia.
