On April 30, McClellan addressed the impact of recent policy decisions from the Trump Administration regarding NIH grants. She tweeted, “The Trump Administration’s arbitrary cap on NIH grants covering indirect costs has a direct impact on medical research, including threats to a clinical trial related to metastatic brain tumors at a Virginia research institution.” She indicated that Republicans had rejected a proposal to examine these impacts further.
