Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on July 22, 2025, highlighting her activities and concerns regarding pipeline safety and federal oversight.

In another tweet on the same date, McClellan addressed issues raised by constituents regarding the Mountain Valley Pipeline. She wrote: “In today’s Energy Subcommittee hearing, I reiterated concerns raised by communities across Virginia about the Mountain Valley Pipeline and joined @EnergyCommerce Democrats to call for the federal pipeline safety program to have the workforce and resources it needs to keep our https://t.co/deiFUOopRZ” (July 22, 2025).

Jennifer McClellan has served in Congress since replacing Donald McEachin in 2023. Before her current role, she was a member of both the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg in 1972 and currently residing in Richmond, McClellan holds degrees from the University of Richmond (BA) and the University of Virginia (JD).
