Later that day, she commented on budgetary concerns, noting that “Earlier this week, Trump laid out his disastrous budget priorities for Congress. Here’s what he wants to cut at the Department of Health and Human Services.” The tweet highlighted potential cuts proposed by former President Trump.

Jennifer McClellan was born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1972 and now resides in Richmond. She holds a BA from the University of Richmond and a JD from the University of Virginia. Her political career began with service in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 before transitioning to the Virginia Senate.
