Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Virginia’s 4th district, recently shared a series of tweets addressing both celebratory and critical issues. On May 10, 2025, Congresswoman McClellan extended her congratulations to the VCU Class of 2025. Her message was accompanied by emojis symbolizing school spirit.

Later that day, she commented on budgetary concerns, noting that “Earlier this week, Trump laid out his disastrous budget priorities for Congress. Here’s what he wants to cut at the Department of Health and Human Services.” The tweet highlighted potential cuts proposed by former President Trump.

In another congratulatory note on the same day, McClellan celebrated another academic milestone: “Congratulations to the @southsidevacc Class of 2025!” She expressed her best wishes with an affectionate use of heart emojis.

Jennifer McClellan was born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1972 and now resides in Richmond. She holds a BA from the University of Richmond and a JD from the University of Virginia. Her political career began with service in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 before transitioning to the Virginia Senate.
