Jennifer McClellan, a Congresswoman representing Virginia’s 4th district, has expressed her thoughts through a series of tweets addressing critical issues. McClellan, who also serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee, highlighted topics related to energy policy and political decisions affecting her state and beyond.

On April 30, McClellan invited her audience to “watch my full questioning here:”, urging followers to view her inquiries into energy-related matters. This questioning is part of her responsibilities within the Energy and Commerce Committee.

By May 1, the Congresswoman brought attention to the distinct designations of Virginia in the energy sector, writing, “Virginia is both the data center capital of the world and the clean energy capital of the South.” However, she criticized the impact of previous policies, stating, “the uncertainty caused by Trump’s tariffs, and his cancellation of investments, hurts our ability to meet exploding energy needs.” In her capacity with the Energy and Commerce Committee, McClellan continues to scrutinize policies that affect energy demands.

Born in Petersburg, Virginia, in 1972, and holding degrees from the University of Richmond and the University of Virginia, McClellan has been actively involved in Virginia politics, serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after succeeding Donald McEachin. She previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate.
