Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several updates through her social media account. These updates included congratulations to a local art competition winner and insights into her legislative activities.
On May 9, 2025, McClellan congratulated Journi Marlow for winning the Congressional Art Competition for VA-04 with an acrylic painting depicting the American justice system. She expressed gratitude to the numerous young artists who participated in the competition.
In a subsequent post on the same day, McClellan invited followers to read about all winning submissions and honorable mentions from the competition. She provided a link where viewers could see all of the pieces displayed.
Later that evening, McClellan discussed her recent activities in Washington, D.C., highlighting her introduction of three bills. Additionally, she recognized public servants, educators, and small business owners while preparing for upcoming discussions regarding Medicaid cuts within the Energy and Commerce Committee.
Jennifer McClellan has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Donald McEachin. Prior to this role, she was part of the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and served on the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1972, she currently resides in Richmond and holds degrees from both the University of Richmond and the University of Virginia.
