Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia’s 4th district, recently shared a series of tweets celebrating Pride Month and highlighting her involvement in community events. McClellan has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after succeeding Donald McEachin. She has a background in law and politics, having previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate.

On June 1, 2025, Congresswoman McClellan expressed her support for Pride Month with a simple message: “Happy Pride! “.

Later that day, she participated in an event organized by Side by Side VA. In her tweet at 22:53 UTC, she stated: “Kicked off #PrideMonth keynoting @sidebysideva’s Annual Springtime: Bloom Together Event to discuss the importance of fostering community in support of LGBTQ+ youth in the face of chaos.”

The following day, on June 2, 2025, she invited followers to join her for an event later that evening with a brief announcement: “Join us TODAY at 6 PM!”

Jennifer McClellan was born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1972 and currently resides in Richmond. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a BA and earned a JD from the University of Virginia.
