Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets discussing the impact of ICE raids at courthouses and sharing media coverage of her views.

On July 27, 2025, McClellan stated, “ICE raids at courthouses have made communities less safe and sabotaged local enforcement efforts to build trust. ICYMI: I spoke with @lauraingle on @NewsNation about what I’ve heard from local law enforcement and court officials in response to Chesterfield Courthouse ICE raids. https://t.co/pc4y2poKXE”. In a follow-up tweet posted moments later, she encouraged followers to view her full interview by writing, “Watch the full interview here: https://t.co/Qqxuqxa2B3”.

The following day, on July 28, McClellan shared another link without additional comment: “https://t.co/MOn1kH1QAl”.

Jennifer McClellan has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Donald McEachin. She previously held seats in both the Virginia House of Delegates and Senate. Born in Petersburg in 1972 and now residing in Richmond, McClellan is an alumna of the University of Richmond and holds a JD from the University of Virginia.
