Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on August 18, 2025, addressing the detention of Arman Momand by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and inviting constituents to upcoming town hall events.
In her first post, McClellan stated, “Today should have been Arman Momand’s first day back at school. Shortly after, she shared a follow-up tweet containing a link: “https://t.co/tK82mKepQV”, also posted on August 18, 2025.
Later that evening, McClellan addressed her constituents regarding opportunities for engagement during Congress’s August recess. She wrote: “August recess gives me the chance to share what’s happening on the Hill, hear your concerns and answer your questions. I have two opportunities for you to join me for a town hall next week: https://t.co/aeSH9lzq7x” This message was also posted on August 18, 2025.
