Later that day, she addressed public health concerns regarding preterm birth and insurance affordability. In her post at 19:06 UTC, McClellan stated: “Preterm birth is dangerous — and preventable.
As premiums skyrocket for millions without the ACA enhanced premium tax credits, I joined @ProtectCareVA and other preemie moms to share our stories and highlight the importance of affordable health insurance to a healthy, full-term”. Jennifer McClellan has served as the U.S. Representative for Virginia’s 4th District since replacing Donald McEachin in 2023. Before joining Congress, she served in both the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg in 1972 and currently residing in Richmond, McClellan holds degrees from the University of Richmond (BA) and the University of Virginia (JD).
