Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on her official Twitter account this week, highlighting recent activities and offering commentary on national politics.

On May 29, McClellan posted about a new episode of her ongoing series: “For this month’s episode of Moments with McClellan, I’m joined by @RepSchneider! Stay tuned to hear us discuss his love for his saltwater fish, chairing the @NewDemCoalition and more.”

Later that day, she criticized the priorities of the previous administration in another post, “The Trump Administration’s priorities are all wrong. The American people are paying the price for it.” This comment comes amid ongoing debate about policy impacts from former President Donald Trump’s time in office.

On May 30, McClellan reflected on her engagement with constituents during a congressional recess: “I spent the Memorial Day recess in the Fourth District talking to local officials, students and small businesses. Keep watching for what you may have missed this week.”

McClellan has served as Virginia’s 4th District representative since 2023 after succeeding Donald McEachin. She previously held seats in both the Virginia House of Delegates and State Senate. Born in Petersburg in 1972 and now residing in Richmond, McClellan is an alumna of both the University of Richmond (BA) and University of Virginia (JD).
