Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used her social media platform to address issues ranging from dysfunction in Washington to concerns over Medicaid cuts.

On August 28, 2025, McClellan announced a new episode of her podcast: “The newest episode of Moments with McClellan just dropped! In a separate message posted on August 29, 2025, McClellan addressed health care policy and recent legislative actions: “Congressional Republicans voted for Medicaid cuts that will devastate our health care system. But it’s not too late to reverse that decision — and I’m still fighting back. I joined @ProtectOurCare and @ctphealthcare in Tazewell, Virginia to sound the alarm on Medicaid cuts and https://t.co/k3cK8s0xOj”.

Jennifer McClellan has served as a member of Congress since replacing Donald McEachin in 2023. Prior to her tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, she was a member of both the Virginia House of Delegates (2006-2017) and the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1972, she currently resides in Richmond. Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond (1994) and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia (1997).
