Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts addressing legislative efforts, commemorations, and local community losses.
On October 13, 2025, McClellan announced a legislative initiative to recognize the Nottoway Indian Tribe of Virginia at the federal level. On October 15, 2025, McClellan expressed condolences over the death of a local official. She wrote, “I am deeply saddened by the passing of Supervisor James M. “Jim” Holland. McClellan has represented Virginia’s 4th congressional district since 2023, following her tenure in both the Virginia House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate. She was born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1972 and resides in Richmond. Her educational background includes a BA from the University of Richmond and a JD from the University of Virginia.
