Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia’s 4th district since 2023, recently used social media to express her concerns regarding cybersecurity and health disparities. Her comments focus on the perceived inadequacies of the Trump Administration’s approach to national security and minority health issues.
In an April 30, 2025, post, Congresswoman McClellan stated that “cybersecurity threats from our adversaries like China are growing in frequency and sophistication. But the Trump Administration actively undermines our ability to respond — and doesn’t seem to understand the importance of national security.” She mentioned her participation in discussions at Energy and Commerce Committee meetings regarding these concerns.
McClellan linked to a video for further details in a subsequent post on April 30, 2025, suggesting viewers “watch my full questioning here,” directing them to a detailed account of her points.
On May 1, 2025, in relation to National Minority Health Month, McClellan noted in another post, “to close out National Minority Health Month, I anchored the Congressional Black Caucus Special Order Hour with @RepJamesClyburn to highlight how the Trump Administration’s actions will make health disparities for the Black community worse,” indicating continued engagement on issues affecting minority communities.
Jennifer McClellan has been actively serving in Congress after replacing Donald McEachin in 2023. She previously held roles in Virginia’s state government, including positions in both the House of Delegates and the Senate.
