Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who serves Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several updates on her activities and positions through social media. McClellan’s career includes service in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate, and she resides in Richmond, Virginia. Her posts provide constituents with opportunities to engage with her directly and clarify her position on constitutional interpretations.
On April 22, 2025, McClellan invited her constituents to join her for a face-to-face meeting to discuss current happenings in Washington D.C. and strategies to address them. She stated, “Join us today! Looking forward to answering my constituents’ questions face-to-face about what’s happening in Washington — and what we can do to fight back.”
Later that day, she announced an upcoming event organized by the Henrico NAACP, in response to potential scheduling conflicts for her constituents. She communicated, “Can’t attend my in-person town hall tonight in Brunswick? You’re in luck — you can join me at the @HenricoNAACP in-person town hall at Mosby Memorial Baptist Church 6 PM this Wednesday, April 23.”
In a separate post, McClellan expressed her perspective on constitutional rights, referencing the Fifth Amendment’s commitment to due process. She wrote, “The Fifth Amendment unambiguously states that no person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law. It applies to noncitizens. It does not provide an exception for only when due process is convenient.” McClellan’s statement underscores her advocacy for consistent application of constitutional protections.
