Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared messages of encouragement and information for her constituents on August 19, 2025.

In a post addressed to students at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), McClellan wrote: “Best wishes to the students of @VCU on your first day of classes!” (August 19, 2025).

Later that day, she informed followers about ongoing opportunities for young people interested in military service: “Service Academy Nominations are open until October 30 this year! Don’t forget to send in your applications. More information below https://t.co/FA0S7FVOwi” (August 19, 2025). She also posted a related link: “https://t.co/cU7wS52v69” (August 19, 2025).

Jennifer McClellan began serving in Congress after replacing Donald McEachin in 2023. Before her tenure in the House of Representatives, she served in both the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg, Virginia in 1972 and currently residing in Richmond, McClellan holds a BA from the University of Richmond and a JD from the University of Virginia.
