Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, who represents Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several updates with her constituents through her social media accounts.

On May 11, 2026, McClellan posted a link to a livestream event, inviting followers to watch live: “Starting NOW! Watch the livestream here: https://t.co/jlLc85DhEu https://t.co/cl7EkFX8Nz”.

The following day, on May 12, she expressed gratitude for being recognized by the Virginia Union University Alumni Association: “Thank you @VAUnion1865 for awarding me an honorary Doctor of Laws!

I’ve represented VUU for over 20 years, first in the General Assembly and now in Congress. I’ve always felt like part of the family — this makes it a little more official. https://t.co/15LQgJq9F1″.

Later that same day, McClellan directed her audience to further information about pending legislation: “Read more about the bill here: https://t.co/4uhpi6Jt6n”.

McClellan has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Donald McEachin. She previously held positions in both the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and in the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg in 1972 and currently residing in Richmond, McClellan holds degrees from both the University of Richmond (BA) and the University of Virginia (JD).
