Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, representing Virginia’s 4th district since 2023, recently shared a series of updates via her social media platform. Her posts addressed topics ranging from women’s health to legislative activities in the House of Representatives.

On May 12, 2025, Congresswoman McClellan marked the commencement of National Women’s Health Week by highlighting this year’s theme: “Know Your Pelvic Floor.” She noted that “1 in 4 women will experience a pelvic floor disorder at some point in her life.” McClellan emphasized the importance for women to routinely check and strengthen their pelvic floor.

Later that day, McClellan reflected on recent celebrations honoring various groups such as mothers and public service workers. She informed her audience about upcoming legislative actions, stating “the House geared up for a marathon week of committee action on budget bills starting tomorrow.” She encouraged constituents to stay informed through her newsletter.

Jennifer McClellan has been active in politics for several years. Prior to her current role, she served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2017 and then moved on to the Virginia Senate. Born in Petersburg, Virginia, she is a graduate of both the University of Richmond and the University of Virginia.
