Mark Earley, a Republican elected in 2024 to represent Virginia’s 73rd House district, posted a series of statements on social media on March 13, 2026, criticizing recent legislative actions and policy directions in the state.
In one post from March 13, Earley offered sharp criticism of an unspecified political statement: “Hard to conjure up a more ridiculous, worthless, empty, politician-like statement.”
Later that day, he addressed the end of the General Assembly session and expressed concerns about Democratic initiatives. He wrote on March 13: “With the General Assembly coming to a close, we need a recap as the Democrats have been flooding the zone. Everything they’ve done fits in one of three buckets. The first is bad policy. The second is dysfunction & self-dealing. The third is attempting to install permanent”.
Earley also commented on criminal justice and immigration policies in another post from March 13: “The reason we keep seeing stories like this is because of intentional policy choices. It’s not inevitable. It’s a direct result of CHOICES to be soft on criminals, soft on immigration enforcement. Will we love our neighbors enough to change course?”
Earley’s comments come as part of his ongoing role as representative for Virginia’s 73rd House district after winning election in 2024 and succeeding Rodney Willett.
