Mark Earley, a political candidate for Virginia’s House of Delegates, used his social media platform to share updates from the campaign trail and encourage civic participation in a series of posts made between August 24 and August 25, 2025.

On August 24, Earley posted about his presence at a local event: “Live from the Chesterfield County Fair with @JohnReid4VA and Sheriff Karl Leonard! Early voting kicks off in only a few weeks and we gotta make sure common sense wins out over nonsense!” This post referenced the upcoming early voting period in Virginia and highlighted his collaboration with local figures John Reid and Sheriff Karl Leonard.

The following day, Earley publicly endorsed another candidate via social media, stating on August 25: “For goodness sake, vote @IanTLovejoy”. The endorsement aligns with typical campaign strategies where candidates support allies within their party.

Later that evening, Earley reflected on an outreach effort at a local school. On August 25 he wrote: “Awesome afternoon speaking to the Clover Hill High football players & connecting with Coach Hutchings & staff. We talked about the building blocks of success, not just in football but in life: hard work, resilience, grit, focusing only on what you can control, and becoming the”. The message emphasized personal development themes such as hard work and resilience.

Earley’s posts come during an active election season in Virginia. As is customary ahead of general elections in the state, early voting is set to begin several weeks before Election Day. Community engagement through appearances at public events like county fairs and school visits is a common tactic among candidates seeking to connect with voters at the local level.
