Mike Cherry, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, recently addressed both campaign activities and concerns about safety in a series of posts on his official X account.

On September 29, 2025, Cherry made a final appeal for attendance at an upcoming fundraising event. He wrote, “Last call for ticket’s to our fundraiser *this* Wednesday in Chester. https://t.co/u5AzVqoW3T”.

Later that day, Cherry expressed concern regarding threats faced by members of the House. On September 29, he posted, “I am alarmed by yet another threat against one of my House colleagues, this time including threats against his children. This behavior has to stop. https://t.co/ztezjfofkA”.

Following the fundraiser on October 2, Cherry thanked attendees and acknowledged a colleague’s participation. He stated, “Thank you to our generous supporters for joining us at our campaign fundraiser this evening in Chester. A special shoutout to my seatmate and friend @CarrieCoyner for joining us! https://t.co/7kZvyFyMYF”.

Cherry represents Virginia’s 66th district and is known for his involvement in local community initiatives as well as legislative matters in the state assembly.
