On Sunday, April 13, former Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School standout Keriann Slayton’s current college team, the Tufts Jumbos, lost 4-3 in their NCAA Division III softball game against the Williams Ephs.
The game took place at Cole Field. This was their second matchup against the Ephs this season.
The Jumbos’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16 at 3 p.m. at Briggs Field against MIT Engineers.
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts announced it is mourning artist Mary Lovelace O’Neal following news that she passed away May 10. The museum highlighted both an ongoing exhibition dedicated to her work as well as upcoming events celebrating her legacy.
