On Wednesday, April 23, former Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School standout Keriann Slayton’s current college team, the Tufts Jumbos, won 8-5 in their NCAA Division III softball game against the Endicott Gulls.
The game took place at Endicott Softball Complex. This was their first matchup against the Gulls this season.
The Jumbos’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m. at Spicer Field against Hamilton Continentals.
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts announced it is mourning artist Mary Lovelace O’Neal following news that she passed away May 10. The museum highlighted both an ongoing exhibition dedicated to her work as well as upcoming events celebrating her legacy.
The University of Richmond women’s golf team matched its best-ever finish by placing eleventh at the NCAA Regionals in Chapel Hill on May 13. Seniors Hannah Lydic and Olivia Wilkie completed their collegiate careers as key contributors during this event.
