Richmond art exhibit honors Juneteenth and Queer Pride with artist talks

The Gallery at Main Street Station in Richmond, Virginia, is set to present a new micro exhibit from June 23 through June 30. This exhibition celebrates Juneteenth, Queer Pride, and Black Music Month.

An “Artist Talk” event is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Main Street Station Gallery located at 1500 East Main Street. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with artists and discuss their work. The event will also feature local food and music vendors. Highlighted artists during the talk session include Justice Dwight, Austin Miles, and Ashley White.

The exhibition will also feature works by Virginia Coleman, Jazzmyn Ellis, Coppere Ford, MYLO GLOBAL, Jonah Hodari, Coury Jamal, NDEFRU, Malik Radford, Tiara Russell, Melchisedek Shabazz, Nastassja E. Swift, and Jamel Walker.

Main Street Station is owned by the City of Richmond Department of Public Works (DPW). Built in 1901 as a historic transportation hub in Richmond’s city center, it offers modern amenities alongside its classic architectural design. The station provides space for both public and private events with its expansive glass-enclosed area offering views of downtown Richmond.
