Richmond city had one gas station selling regular gas at the lowest price of $3.40 per gallon during the week ending Mar. 21, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Regular gas prices averaged $3.66 per gallon in Richmond city.

Of the 69 reported gas stations located within Richmond city, 45 offered regular gas.

The statewide average price of regular gas in Virginia was $3.58 per gallon for the week ending Mar. 21, an increase from the previous week.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
