The University of Richmond men’s lacrosse team secured a 13–11 win over Saint Joseph’s on April 18, celebrating Senior Day and completing an undefeated regular season at Robins Stadium.

This victory extends Richmond’s Atlantic 10 Conference winning streak to 11 games and brings their all-time record in Atlantic 10 regular season play to 18–2. The Spiders also achieved an undefeated home regular season for the second time in program history, previously accomplished in 2018 and again in 2023.

The game was tied at halftime, but Richmond pulled ahead with a four-goal run early in the third quarter. After trading goals with Saint Joseph’s, the Hawks managed to tie the game at nine before Richmond responded with another four-goal stretch late in the fourth quarter. Although Saint Joseph’s added two late goals, it was not enough as Richmond maintained its unbeaten run against Atlantic 10 opponents dating back to March of last year.

During the match, Lucas Littlejohn reached his 100th career point with an assist on Gavin Creo’s goal, becoming only the twelfth player in program history to achieve this milestone and joining Joe Sheridan who reached it last week. Aidan O’Neil also marked his own achievement by recording his 200th career point after assisting Littlejohn’s goal later in the fourth quarter; he is now just the fourth player from Richmond to reach that mark.

Richmond opened scoring early and led after one quarter. Both teams exchanged leads throughout much of the first half before going into halftime tied at four. The Spiders then took control during a strong third-quarter performance that included multiple contributors such as Littlejohn, Sheridan, Ricciardi, Creo, Caine and Gaylord. Goalie Connor Knight recorded fourteen saves for Richmond as both teams finished closely matched on shots taken—45 for Richmond compared to Saint Joseph’s forty-two—and successful clears.

Looking ahead, Richmond will finish out its regular season on Friday, April 24 at High Point with game time set for five o’clock.
