The City of Richmond will hold a virtual public meeting on August 19 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss upcoming utility work in the Forest Hill Avenue area. The meeting aims to provide details and answer questions about planned projects, which include replacing old water lines and deteriorated sewer laterals.

According to city officials, the water line replacement will take place along Hathaway Road from Riverside Drive/Longview Drive to the 2900 block of Hathaway Road. This work is scheduled to begin on August 25 and is expected to last six months. Sewer lateral replacement is also planned for the 6900–7000 blocks of Forest Hill Avenue westbound lanes, starting September 2 with an estimated duration of two months.

Residents and business owners are invited to attend the virtual session, where Department of Public Utilities project managers will present information about project scopes, review plans, and discuss traffic impacts. The city encourages all affected property owners and members of the public to participate.

“During the meeting, residents and business owners will have the opportunity to hear from DPU project managers to learn more about the project scopes and review project plans and traffic impacts. This meeting is open to all members of the public and affected property owners are strongly encouraged to attend.”
