The Richmond Department of Public Works (DPW) is seeking community input on transportation projects aimed at improving safety and mobility across the city. Residents are encouraged to participate in two online surveys that will inform the development of city infrastructure.

The first survey focuses on proposed protected bike lanes along Patterson Avenue, Franklin Street, 1st Street, and 3rd Street. The second survey aims to gather information about residents’ travel habits to enhance options for non-car transportation.

“Whether you walk, roll, cycle, or drive – your experience matters, and we want your input. Please take a few minutes to complete the surveys using the links below,” the DPW stated.

The survey about new Vision Zero projects can be accessed at https://arcg.is/1ea04j2. The survey regarding short trips is available at https://arcg.is/1yjmbW1.

DPW is working toward building a multimodal city, as outlined in the Richmond Connects Strategic Plan. More information about DPW’s Vision Zero goals is available at rva.gov/visionzero. Updates on DPW projects and events are also shared via X @DPW_RichmondVA.

Residents’ feedback will help guide efforts to make streets safer and more accessible for all users.
