The University of Richmond football team announced on April 9 that its annual Spring Game will take place on Saturday, April 11 at 4:00 p.m. at Robins Stadium. The event is free and open to the public.
The Spring Game gives fans an early opportunity to see the 2026 Spiders, including five returning All-Patriot League players. The game will feature four quarters of twelve minutes each with a running clock and a five-minute halftime.
Pre-game activities begin at 3:00 p.m. with the Family Fun Zone on Lessing Plaza, offering inflatables, games, face painting, and a balloon artist. At 3:15 p.m., children can participate in the Spiders Kids Club Helmet Walk by meeting at Spider Rock on Lessing Plaza to accompany players onto the field while carrying their helmets.
After the game, organizers will present the Gus Lee Winter Warrior Award to a player who made significant progress during offseason workouts and announce team captains for the upcoming season. Fans are invited back to Lessing Plaza after the game for an autograph session with players and distribution of promotional schedule posters for 2026.
The Spiders’ home schedule in 2026 includes six games at Robins Stadium—five against Patriot League opponents such as Bucknell (Aug. 29), Georgetown (Sept. 19), Colgate (Oct. 24 – Homecoming), Lehigh (Nov. 14), and William & Mary (Nov. 21 – Capital Cup Presented By C&F Bank). Richmond will also play Furman on Sept. 26 during Family Weekend.
Ticket office staff will be available starting at 3:00 p.m. before the Spring Game to help fans with renewals or ticket options for next season; $50 deposits can be placed for future seat selection discussions with representatives from the ticket office.
